Objective:To analyze the characteristics of the CT perfusion parameters (blood flow, blood volume, mean transit time, capillary permeability surface, peak value and time to peak) and the relationship between the CT perfusion parameters and MVD, VEGF of renal cell carcinoma (RCC).Materials and methods:1. CT perfusion imaging technique: CT perfusion scans were performed in 38 patients suspected of renal cancer by 16-slice spiral CT. Plain CT of kidneys was firstly performed. The biggest slice of the tumor was selected to perform CT perfusion scan. The whole kidney was scanned later in parenchymal phase. Perfusion scan parameters were as follows: 120kV,100mAs, thickness 10mm,scanning time 1.0s, the total exposure time 50s, delayed time 10s, number of scanning 50. We selected a slice of image with a section width of 10mm or two slice with a section width of 5mm. 50ml of contrast media (Omnipaque 300mgI/ml) was injected with a power injector at a flow rate of 4.0ml/s. All the data were sent to Advanced Workstation 4.2 , perfusion parameters (such as peak value, blood flow, blood volume) of tumor and...
