This study was divided into two parts: Part One, to investigate the 64 slice spiral CT perfusion parameters of the normal rabbit kidney, the appearance of normal CT perfusion imaging, the appearance of normal SPECT renogram, and the correlation between CT perfusion parameters and GFR; Part Two, made the model of acute renal failure(ARF), to investigate the appearance of the CT perfusion imaging under the pathological circumstances, the appearance of pathological SPECT renogram, and the correlation between CT perfusion parameters and glomemlar filtration rate (GFR).Part One the contrast study of renal function between 64 slice spiral CT perfusion imaging and SPECTObjective To investigate the feasibility of evaluating the renal function with 64 slice spiral CT.Materials and methods 20 healthy New Zealand rabbits were studied with the body perfusion technique of Simens SOMATOM SENSATION 64 slice CT scanner. BF and BV values of bilateral cortex and medulla were measured respectively. The SPECT examination was after 5 hours and the bilateral GFR values were measured. The perfusion parameters were then compared using the two-sample t-test, to determine whether there were significant difference between right and left, cortex and medulla kidney. Pearson correlation and linear regression analysis were used to study the correlation between CT perfusion parameters and GFR.Result The average BF values of normal cortex and medulla were 428.1±104.1 ml/100ml/min,200.7±35.2 ml/100ml/min respectively; the average BV values were 206.8±26.9 ml/100ml,158.2±32.5 ml/100ml respectively. BF and BV values of cortex were higher than medulla, and there were no significant difference between the right and left kidney. BF value was positively correlated with GFR values (r=0.823, P=0.000<0.05 , R2=0.678, the linear regression equation was Y= 4.551X + 195.137), BV value was also correlated with GFR values(r=0.567, P=0.027<0.05, R2=0.322, the linear regression equation was Y=2.842X+70.868). The correlation between BF and GFR was better than the correlation between BV and GFR.Conclusion The technology of CTP can be used for the study of renal perfusion imaging, the obtained hemodynamics parameters were positively correlated with GFR from SPECT, the CTP data also can be used for quantitative analysis.Part Two the evaluation of ARF model in rabbits by 64 slice spiral CTObject Made the model of Acute Renal Failure (ARF), to investigate the appearance of the CT perfusion imaging under the pathological circumstances, the appearance of pathological SPECT renogram, and the correlation between CT perfusion parameters and GFR.Materials and methods 10 healthy New Zealand rabbits were injected with 50% glycerine solusion to establish ARF models, body perfusion technique of Simens SOMATOM SENSATION 64 slice CT scanner was used before and after the model respectively, to measure BF and BV values of the right kidney, SPECT examination was 1 hous later to measure the GFR values, the perfusion parameters were then compared using the matched-pairs t-test, to determine whether there were significant difference of the right cortex before and after the established models. Pearson correlation and linear regression analysis were used to study the correlation between CT perfusion parameters and GFR.Result After the ARF models, the mean BF values were decreased from 407.9±23.1 ml/100g/min to 185.8±33.1ml/100g/min,the mean BV values were decreased from 196.9±27.4 ml/100g to 94.3±18.4ml/100g.There were significant statistic difference before and after the models. After the models, BF value was also positively correlated with GFR values(r=0.742, P=0.014<0.05, R2=0.550, the linear regression equation was Y= 5.786X+24.299), BV value was correlated with GFR values(r=0.633, P=0.049<0.05, R2=0.401, the linear regression equation was Y=3.197X+8.435). The correlation between BF and GFR was better than the correlation between BV and GFR.Conclusion The CTP technology of 64 slice spiral CT could be used for the study of hemodynamics as an new non-invasive methods, and has important clinic values.
