Objective To study the effects and mechanisms of benazepril and/or Valsartan on preventing myocardial fibrosis and provide further evidence for clinical therapy in hypertension,we chosed 75 consecutive patients with mild to moderate hypertension as subjects,to investigate the alterations of myocardial acoustic densitometry, ambulatory blood pressure, serum pro-collogen III and plasma renin-angiotensin II-aldosterone concentrations ,as well as angiotensin II receptor subtype AT1 and AT2 receptors mRAN expression before and after treatment for 8 weeks, and also to analysis the relationship between left myocardial fibrosis and above mentioned markers. Methods 75 consecutive patients with hypertension were divided into four groups : group A(n=75): hypertension control group(without treatment regularly); subset: group B (n=25)were given 10mg/d benazepril for 8 weeks; group C(n=25)were given 160mg/d Valsartan for 8 weeks; group D were given 5mg/d banazepril +80mg/d Valsartan for 8 weeks; normal control group(n=25). Measure the indicatrix of acoustic densitometry (the AII, PPI of septum interventricular and posterior left ventricular wall ), monitor ambulatory blood pressure for 24 hours, detect the concentration of renin-angiotensin II-aldosterone and pro-collogen III, hemospasia anticoagulated blood 2ml simultaneously, putting in freezer (-80℃) to keep after abstraction of RNA. The groups of B, C, D were given medicine above-mentioned, returning after taking medicine for 8 weeks, measuring the...
