Background and ObjectiveIn the proceeding of tumor, chronic inflammation plays an important role on the promotion of the epithelial cell transformation. It's reported that about 15% cancer is developed from chronic inflammation, but there is not definite conclusion. Basement membrane(BM) is a component of extracellularmatrix, which is significant in the regulation of cell differentiation, cell proliferation and maintenance of cell polarity apoptosis of epithelial cells. The action of the BM depends on the stabilization of its moity and the integrity of its spatial structure., the inflammatory reaction is a consideration one factor causing the change of the BM among the multiple factor . Inflammatory factor activates cell growth factor and can alter the transmission pathway to cause cellular proliferation. Meanwhile, local infiltrative inflammatory cells release the catabolic enzymes to degrade the basement membrane components. All of these result in discontinuance of the local basement membrane and influence the transformation of cells.Acording our early experiments, we found that there was little inflammatory cell infiltration in normal epithelium mucosae of esophagus and lamina propria. Beginning with simply hyperplasy, there were increased number of inflammatory cell to infiltrate. When the inflammatory reaction was slight ,the inflammatory cells diffused...
