Objective:To explore the relationship between the EGFR and p-EGFR expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and its clinical and pathological features and prog-nosis.Methods:By immunohistochemical methods to detect the expression of the EGFR and p-EGFR expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, adjacent normal tissue, a-nd analysis of EGFR and p-EGFR expression and its clinical pathological features and prognosis.Results:1. The positive expression rate of EGFR Protein expression in esophageal squ-amous cell carcinoma and noncancerous tissues were69.57%(48/69) and8.70%(6/69). The positive expression rate of p-EGFR Protein expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and noncancerous tissues were59.42%(41/69) and13.04%(9/69);2. No sign-ificant correlation between EGFR expression of the patient’s age, sex, cancer tumor size, TNM stage and depth of local invasion, but a positive correlation with lymph node metastasis. A positive correlation between p-EGFR expression and lymph node metastasis, but no significant correlation with other pathological features;3. The2-year survival rate and the average survival of patients with positive expression of EGFR and p-EGFR both less than patients with negative group. Conclusion:The up-regulation in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma of EGFR and p-EGFR expression is correlation with clinical and pathological features and prognosis of ESCC.
