Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of low-dose cyclophosphamide (CTX)for the antiangiogenic effect and the apoptotic effect On A549 lung carcinoma, investigate its antitumor effect and toxicity, so as to search for new mechanisms and provide theory for therapy on lung carcinoma. Methods: cell line A549 of lung adenocarcinoma was cultivated and BALB/C nude mice bearing A549 lung carcinoma were randomized into several groups , each received low-dose CTX,maximum tolerate dose(MTD)CTX therapy respectively, we investigate its antitumor effect and toxicity. At the end of experiment, tumors were resected for immunohistochemical staining . Tumor microvessel density(MVD),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and nuclear factorκB (NF-κB P65) were detected.and apoptosis were measured by Transmission electron microscope and the terminal deoxynucleotidy transfer mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling(TUNEL), Morphological changes of tumurous cells were observed.
