Objective:The infection and clearance of HBV may be associated with many factor, such as virus itself factor, host genetic factor and immunity factor. The gene polymorphisms of cytokine, which are concerned with immunological response, may affect the pathogenesis of HBV infection and therapeutic effect of antivirus. Tumor necrosis factor is one of the most important cytokines. So we decide to research in such aspects:(1)To determine whether -238G/A and -308G/A polymorphisms of TNF-αgene promoter were associated with outcomes of HBV infection. (2)To determine whether TNF-αgene promoter polymorphisms were associated with response to interferon-αor lamivudine therapy in patients with chronic Hepatitis B.Methods: The DNA genomes of peripheral blood were extracted from 354 patients with HBV infection and 46 health controls. We get the TNF-αgene segments by a Polymerase Chain Reaction. Following PCR,the amplification products were digested with the restriction enzyme, and the genotypes were detected by agarose gel electrophoresis. All the results were...
