Objective1.To explore whether the TNF-a promoter single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) are associated with the outcomes of hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection.2. To explore the effect of TNF-a levels in the serum of patients with chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection.Methods1.By using a restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) assay of polymerase chain reaction(PCR) products, the single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) within TNF-a-308 and -238 site among 90 patients with chronic hepatitis B,30 patients with hepatic cirrhosis and 42 patients with chronic severe hepatitis B as well as 40 healthy controls were analyzed.2.ELISA techniques were used to detect the levers of serum TNF-a.Results1 .The frequencies of the TNF-a-308G/A genotype and the TNF-a A allele were significantly increased in 90 patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB),30 patients with hepatic cirrhosis(HC) and 42 patients with chronic severe hepatitis B(CSHB) compared with 40 healthy controls, especially chronic...
