The pharmacological studies indicated that the essential oil from Curcuma wenyujin Y.H.Chen et C.Ling showed strong anti-tumor and anti-thrombus bioactivities. In this thesis, the chemical constituents of the essential oil of Curcuma wenyujin.Y.H.Chen et C.Ling were studied. 15 compounds from essential oil of Curcuma wenyujin were obtained, and the structures of the 11 compounds were elucidated on the basis of physico-chemical and spectral methods. They are curcumol(1), curdione(2), (4S,5S)-germacrone-4,5-epoxide(3), Germacrone-1,10-epoxide(4), neocurdione(5), (5R,6R,7aR)-5-isopropenyl-3,6-dimethyl-6-vinyl-5,6,7,7a-tetrahydro-4H-benzofuran-2-one(6), (5R,6R,7aS)-7a-Hydroxy-5-isopropenyl-3,6-dimethyl-6-vinyl-5,6,7,7a-tetrahydr o-4H-benzofuran-2-one(7), (5R,6R,7aS)-5-isopropenyl-3,6-dimethyl-6-vinyl-5, 6,7,7a-tetrahydro-4H-benzofuran-2-one(8), Compound 9(9), dehydro-1,8-cineol (10), p-menth-2-ene-1,8-diols(11), respectively.
