Objective: To observe the effect of intensive insulin therapy and conventional insulin therapy on serum monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 and the changes of correlatively clinic index before and after therapy.Method: Forty-eight patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided intensive insulin therapy(twenty-four patients were included) and conventional insulin therapy (twenty-four patients were included). No patients had been treated with insulin .The control group were composed of 24 healthy people. The target of glycemia control were fasting blood glucose≤6.0mmol/1 and postprandial blood glucose≤8.0mmol/l.the time of therapy was 13.5±1.5 days. To observe the change of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 before and after insulin therapy, The time needed for blood glucose to normal, the amount of insulin used ,the number of hypoglycemia ,and the change of blood glycose , C-peptide, blood fat ,BMI before and after therapy were observed.Result: (1) the concentration of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 before insulin therapy in the two groups of diabetes were not significant difference ,the statistic were done with independent-samples test. A significant increase of mean values for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 before insulin therapy in the two groups of diabetes ,compared with control group. (2) A significant decrease of mean values for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 before and after insulin therapy in type 2 diabetes was found, the decrease of the intensive insulin therapy was more evident.(3) Subtrahend of before and after insulin therapy was also different..(4) the mean values for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 after conventional insulin therapy was different, compared with control group. There were no significant differences of mean values for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 after intensive...
