IntroductionThe multiple injury is a multiple parts and multiple organs injury caused by single wound agent, accompanied by hemorrhea, shock, physiologic function disorder, and even a threat to life. The cytokines have many physiological and pathological functions, which are related with immune and pathology after trauma. We studied the changes of TNF - α and IL - 6 in multiple injury patients' serum in one week in order to discuss the nosogenesis and significance in clinic and provide the evidence for elevating the remedy level.MethodsThe ELISA method was applied to evaluate the levels of TNF - α and IL -6 in 42 multiple injury patients' serum and 10 normal persons' . We observed the changes of TNF - α and IL - 6 after the multiple injury at 1,2,3 ,5 ,7d and compared them with normal persons'. The multiple injury patients were divided into two groups according to with or without MODS, then the levels of the two groups were compared. At the same time, the multiple injury patients were divided into two groups in terms of the survival and the death. And the levels of the two groups were compared either. Results( 1) The levels of TNF - α and IL - 6 in the multiple injury patients' serum were higher than those of the normal. The difference was significant between the...
