Objective:To study the expression of peroxisome proliferator- activated receptor γ(PPARγ) mRNA in patients with non valvular atrial fibrillation and the relationship between PPARy mRNA and IL-1,IL-6,TNF α . Method: Totally 57 patients with non valvular atrial fibrillation and hypertension are involved from March 2005 to March 2006 were consecutively incorporated into the study, and 32 patients with hypertension were selected as the control group. The expression of the PPARy mRNA ,IL-6 mRNA and TNF- α mRNA in monocytes in peripheral blood was detected by using RT-PCR. IL-1 was measured by radioimmunoassay . Result:The expression of PPARγ mRNA in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation ,paroxysm atrial fibrillation ,and control group was 0.2224±0.07024, 0.5644+0.04369, 0.6500±0.06408(P<0.01), IL-6 mRNA was 0.5679±0.0444 , 0.4572±0.05051 , 0.4144±0.04066(P<0.0 1 ), TNF- α mRNA was 0.7217±0.05416,0:5304+0.04966,0.4836+0.04879; IL-1 was325.61±88.10 , 190.65±59.38 , 130.77±42.22(P<0.0 1 );The patients displayed decreased expression of PPARγ mRNA in atrial fibrillation group...
