Objective This study is to investigate the potential relationship between Transforming Growth Factor (TGF α ), Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) and inflammation, metaplasia and carcigenesis in bladder , Cystitis Glandularis and adenocarcinoma of the bladder.Methods Specimens were obtained by operation and mucosal biopsy endoscopically including inflammation tissue(group B n=12), Cystitis Cystica tissue( group C n=15), Cystitis Glandularis tissue(group D n=12, group E n=15), CG tissue accompanied by bladder transitional cell carcinoma (group F n=8)and Adenocarcinoma of the bladder(group G n=11).These group were compared with normal bladder epithelium (group A n=16) and analyzed for the expression of TGF α and EGFR by immunoperoxidase staining.Results (1) Densitometric analysis of immunoperoxidase staining...
