Liver and gall have close relationship in histogenesis, anatomy and physiological function. Pathological changes of liver can cause gall diseases and vice versa. Studies have indicated acute and chronic liver diseases may lead to varied degrees of biliary tract pathological changes. The clinical manifestations are gallbladder enlargement, bile silting, decreased contraction ability, lithogenesis and recurrent biliary passage inflammation. However, the causes of secondary biliary tract pathological changes have not been indentified in domestic and foreign studies. Now the causes are considered to be associated with many possible factors.However, few researches on secondary biliary passage pathological changes caused by decompensated hepatocirrhosis and severe hepatitis have been reported . Therefore this study have definite significances in exploring the pathogenesis and treatment of the secondary biliary passage pathological changes caused by severe liver diseases.
