Objectives:Carcinogenesis is a very complicated process determined by interactions of multifactors.Although great progresses have been made in this field, the understanding of the mechanism of carcinogenesis is still limited. Generally, carcinogenesis is closely associated with genetic instability, and the later is also closely related to the development of drug resistance that acts as a major reason failing cancer therapies.Among all the factors leading to genetic instability, centrosome and telomerase have contributed much more to both carcinogenesis and genetic instability, which has attracted more and more attentions. However, the relationship between centrosome and telomerase in carcinogenesis has seldom reported. This study is to investigate the relationship between centrosome and telomerase from the following three aspects.First, the roles of centrosome in breast-cancer development based on the dynamic states centrosome in breast-cancer; Second, the alteration of telomerase activity in cancer progression; Finally, the relationship between centrosome and telomerase by analysis the changes of centrosome, telomerase and some of the related protein, such as p53 and HER-2, in cancer development. All of these putting together are used as a...
