Obesity is the most important cause of high blood lipid, fatty liver, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and so on, which has been one of important problems hurting the health of the public. However, the level of the lipoprotein is closely linked with fat and complication intensity, the fat that is especially deposited in the blood vessel mainly comes from the low density lipoprotein. As chitosan is a sort of macromolecule with polycation, it can lower the concentration of cholesterol by adsorbing the bile acid, and then it can be used in the treatment of obesity and its complications. But LDL is also cation, so in order to attain a good adsorbent to LDL, we should prepare a sort of polyanion. In this paper, A serious of polyanion adsorbents—NMPC(N-methylene phosphonic chitosan) and OPCS( O-3,6-phosphonic chitosan), bearing different acidic groups as functional groups, was synthesized by reacting with phosphorous acid and phosphonic acid onto the amido and 3,6- hydroxyl of chitosan respectively. The absorbability to lipoprotein and bile acid of CS, NMPC and OPCS were studied. Finally, The adsorption isotherms of the three adsorbents at 37℃were investigated after measuring the adsorption capacity, respectively. In the result, NMPC and OPCS have a good solubility in deionized water. However, the destroy of crystal structure also decreases their thermodynamic characteristic. The process of adsorption kinetic and isothemal adsorption of polyanion resin Chitos- an for TG, TC, HDL, LDL were investigated. The following conclusions were experi- mentally confirmed: (1) The results showed liquid film diffusion was major control- ling step of adsorption rate which can be described by G.E. Boyd equation. (2) Expe- rimental results show that the shapes of these three curves are similar to that of Lang- muir type. (3) The maximal absorptivity to HDL are 71.98%(CS), 28.47% (NMPC), 15.52%(OPCS) respectively, And the maximal absorptivity to LDL are 3.29%(CS), 52.59%(NMPC), 72.79%(OPCS) respectively. (4) To increase the amount and density of the functional groups on the adsorbent surface is benefit to improve the LDL adso- rption capacity and selectivity of polyanion adsorbent. (5) The static interaction of...
