Study On Hospitalization Process Improvement Based On Industrial Engineering

Hospital problem is one of the hit topics in China, and medical treatments are of importance to the national economy and the people's livelihood. In recent years especially this year, the hospitalization problem has been criticized, and one of the reasons is that it's difficult to see a doctor with intricate procedures, except for the high expense.Therefore, the design of the hospitalization process not only affects the efficiency of the hospital, but also has influence on the diagnosis quality. This paper analyzes outpatient service process then improves it based on IE (Industrial Engineering) and does some researches including:1. Studying the characteristics of the medical industry and the hospitalization process, analyzing and improving the traditional process through IE means then comparing the improved process with the former one2. Further analyzing the improved process and exploring some measures to the existing problems, changing the traditional hospitalization process and adding or deleting some steps3. Doing more probing, advancing the project of"One Card Across", and analyzing its process and benefits4. Researching on the management innovation by BPR (Business Process Reengineering), and making some elementary studies on the conformity of information systemsAt last, the prospect of IE is analyzed and its applications in the medical fields are forecasted, and a conclusion is given.
