ObjectiveTo investigate the distribution of glutathione - S - transferase M1, T1, A1 and P1 gene polymorphism in health Han and Yao nationalities, and their relationship with smoking, alcohol drinking ,dietary factor and family history of cancer.MethodsCross -section study was conducted on 230 Han population (106 males and 124 females) (mean age 39.0±14.4 Yrs from 16 to 65) and 240 Yao population (117 males and 123 females)(mean age 37.7±14.9 Yrs from 16 to 65)by purposive sampling, excludeing individuals who had history of cancer , cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and spiritual disease. The genotypes of glutathione - S - transferase M1, T1, A1 and P1 were detected by duplicate PCR and RFLP-PCR.Datas were analyzed with SPSS (ver 11.0) for statistics analysis.
