Objective: To study the influence of anterior reconstruction using titanium mesh with two methods on physiological curve of cervical spine after multilevel corpectomy. In order to provide the experimental data for the cervical lordosis reconstruction .Methods: Seven cervical spine specimens from adult cadaver which were preserved from decay were harvested, Radiography of cervical spine were taken in true lateral position before operation which were served as location and blank contrast group.C45,C56 and C67 discs were removed firstly during operation,After distraction was accomplished by Caspar retractor, rongeur was used to remove the central three fifths of the anterior vertebral body,The distance between intact vertebral endplates were measured, and the titanium mesh was cut to the appropriate length inserted into the decompression channal of vertebral bodies which were served as non-prebending titanium mesh group. Finally, the titanium meshs were taken out after radiography of cervical spine had been taken, and then the prebending titanium meshs were inserted into the channel of the vertebral bodies which were served as prebending titanium mesh group, Radiography of cervical spine were taken in true lateral position after operation. The Cobb,s angle of entire cervical spine, the angle of the fused segment and the height of the fused segment were measured, and then collecting the data for statistical analysis. Results: Compared with the non-prebending titanium mesh group(26.19°±6.74,17.46°±2.83) and blank contrast group(23.26°±7.25,15.23°±4.19), the curvature of cervical spine(39.44°±5.58) and the angle of the fused segment(32.93°±4.51) of the prebending titanium mesh group have significant difference(p﹤0.01),there is no significant difference in the angle of the fused segment between the non-prebending titanium mesh group and blank contrast group(p﹥0.05), The height of the fused segment between the non-prebendingtitanium mesh group(68.50㎜±4.97) and the prebending titanium mesh group(68.86㎜±4.74) has no significant difference(p﹥0.05); however, there is significant difference in the height of the fused segment between the both titanium mesh group and blank contrast group(62.26㎜±3.52).Conclusions: The curvature of cervical spine can be restored well using the prebending titanium mesh after Anterior multilevel corpectomy, the results of the experiment would have a instructive effect on the clinical work.
