Objective: The fallopian pregnancy is the process that the fertilized ovum is implanted in the oviduct. Now the most common cause, generally accepted, is any factor such as salpingitis, heteroplasia and stricture of fallopian, which retards the passage of the blastocyst to uterus and leads the implantation in the tube. However, some researches have been proofed that the implantation of blastocyst only happened in receptive state and the blockage of blastocyst may not be the necessary reason of the fallopian pregnancy. In the normal menstrual cycle, the expression of ER and PR in human endometrium has the cycle, high level in proliferation, and decreased in secretory phase, especial PR, it would decrease or disappeared in epithelial cells of midsecretory phase. Midsecretory is the receptive phase, the decreased expression of PR is closely related with the development and function of endometrium. The contribution of ER/PR to implantation has been well known but the effect on fallopian pregnancy was few reported. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) takes an important role in many part of the pregnancy, but the expression in pregnant tube has never been reported. Intergrin was a kind of transmembrane protein that expresses on the surface of cells. The expression of integrin-β3 has specific cycle in endometrium, and has relation with the implantation. However, the research on expression of integrin-β3 in pregnant tube is few.In this study, we examined the expression of ER,PR,COX-2 and integrin-β3 in nomal tube and pregnant tube by immunohistochemistry, and wanted to understand their function tube pregnancy.Methode: We examined the expression of ER,PR,COX-2 and integrin-β3 in pregnant tube (35 cases), normal tube in proliferative (17 cases) andsecretory (17 cases) phase by immunohistochemistry.Result:1. The expression rates of ER,PR in proliferative and secretory tube were higher, and in pregnant tube, the expression of them was lower (P<0.05).2. COX-2 expression in pregnant tube was higher than normal tube (P<0.05).3. The expression of integrin-β3 was higher in pregnant and secretory tube, and there were not differences in expression level between them (P>0.05).Conclusion:1. The expression of ER,PR had a higher level in secretory tube, but obviously decreased in pregnant tube.2. The expression of COX-2 had a lower level in secretory tube, and higher in pregnant tube.3. The lower expression of ER,PR and higher of COX-2 might be have a association with tube pregnancy; in the secretory tube, higher ER,PR and lower COX-2 may prevent the implantation of the blastcyst in tube.4. Integrin-β3 maybe don't take part in the tube pregnancy.
