Transurethral Ureteroscopic Holmium Laser Lithotripsy Manage Ureter Stones

Objective :To evaluate clinical efficacy and feasibility of transurethral ureterosco -pic holmium laser lithotripsy for the ureter stones.Methods :Clinical data of 56 cases of patients with ureter stones received uretero -scopic holmium laser lithotripsy were analyzed. Of 56 cases ,patients with upper ure -ter stone are 10,patients with middle ureter stone are 18, patients with lower ureter stone are 28.Results : Ureteroscopic lithotripsy was succed in 53 patients. In 2 cases , the uret -eroscope failed to be inserted into the ureter. Ureteroscope could not pass through the narrow ureter reach the stone site in another case.Everage operation time is 38 mins, no hemorrhage,perforation and laceration; 1～3 days hematuria,8 patients fevers for all cases after operation;Average hospital day is 4.1 days,there are no stones left 1 month after operation by KUB and USB.Conclusions :It is a safe and effective t reatment modality that ureteroscopic hoi -mium laser lithotripsy in ureter stones. It can discharge stones eff -ectively. It is espe -daily fit for the middle and lower ureter stones,It also can be used for upper ureter stones, combining ESWL when necessary.Hence the modality should be consider as the treatment of choice.
