Objective: to Discuss transurethral ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy for uret- eral calculi efficacy, influencing factors, surgical techniques and prevention of complica- tions.Method: Collection 158 cases of clinical data ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotri- psy of ureteral calculi in our hospital from July, 2007 to February, 2009, to summarize and analyze efficacy of lithotripsy and the success with sexuality, age, nationality, weight, half or both side, stone size, position, affiliate polypus, preoperactive treatment history, aversi- on, stenosis and(or) twist,hydronephrosis et al;Observe during and post-operative compli- cations.Result: 147 cases of success with a single procedure , the success rate is 93.0%, no calculi residual after four weeks in follow-up; The study indicate that sexuality, age, nationality, weight, half or both side, stone size, affiliate polypus, preoperactive treatment history, hydronephrosis, et al are not related success rate (p>0.05),but stone position, aversion, stenosis and(or) twist et al,influences the success rate(p<0.05). Complications were minor. Conclusion: Holmium laser lithotripsy for ureteral calculi is safe and effec- tive method. Sexuality, age, nationality, weight, half or both side, stone size, preoperactive treatment history, affiliate polypus, hydronephrosis, et al. are not the influential factors of the achievement ratio; stone position, aversion, stenosis and(or) twist et al, influence the achievement ratio. complications were minor and relevant with techniques of operation.
