Objective: In order to investigate the immunoregulation of Grifola frondosa, we studied the changes of cyclophosphamide model mice Th1,Th2 type cytokines (IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-5).Methods: Kunming strain mice were randomly divided into 4 groups: normal control,model group,model treated with high dosage of Grifola frondosa and model treated with low dosage of Grifola frondosa. The other groups were established by abdomen injection with cyclophosphamide every two days except normal control. Whether the model were successful, The group of normal control and cyclophosphamide model were administered 0.4ml NS per mice everyday; The other groups treated with different dosage of Grifola frondosa were daily administered 0.4ml drug solution of 100 % and 50 % concentration respectively. One month later, the levels of IL-4,IL-5,IFN-γwere measured by ELISA and compute IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio in serum. The data processing were determinate by one-way ANOVA method.Results: Cyclophosphamide models were developed successfully, The levels of IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-5 and IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio were decreased very much obviously in model group (P<0.001 or P<0.01), compared with that in control group. The levels of IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-5 and IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio were increased very much significantly in high dosage group of Grifola frondosa (P<0.05), compared with that in model group. The levels of IFN-γand IL-4 in serum with low dosage of Grifola frondosa were increased very much obviously (P<0.01 or P<0.05) and the levels of IL-5,IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio was no marked (P>0.05) in comparison with that in model group. Also, these was conspicuity difference in levels of IFN-γ,IL-5 and IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio in serum between high and low dosage group of Grifola frondosa (P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion: Grifola frondosa can enhance significantly levels of IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-5 and IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio in serum with cyclophosphamide model mice. In brief, Grifola frondosa has obvious regulating the imbalance of Th1/Th2 return to normal.
