Endometriosis (EM) is a common disease among women of child-bearing age, the incidence of the disease has increased significantly in recent years, and it is one of the common gynecological diseases. The incidence in general population ranges from 10 to 15 percent. Among patients with infertility, 25 to 35 percent of them have endometriosis. 20 to 90 percent of patients with chronic pelvic pain and 40 to 60 percen of them with dysmenorrhea are related with the disease. In endometriosis patients, the numbers of cadres, teachers and technical personnel are larger, while those of farmers and unemployed persons are smaller. Generally, the nature of work in cadres, teachers and technical personnel is mostly mental labour, easy to mental stress, or in a stress state, combined with the lack of rule activities, resulting in immune function reduced or disorder, promoting the occurrence and development of the endometriosis. In addition, this group have relatively excellent health protection conditions, that indirectly increases the opportunity of finding the disease. Endometriosis is usually found in women of child-bearing age, prevalent in women aged from 25 to 45. Endometriosis has malignant biological behaviors, such as infiltrating, transfer and recrudescence, becoming intractable disease. Surgery is the first choice, but the overall recurrence rate is more than 50 percent. At present, drug treatment of endometriosis has several options, but only can control or relief pathogenetic condition, and there is so far no drug for cure. There are many medicines to choose, most effective, but limited to short-term, side effects are obvious with extension in medication, and expensive drugs restrict long-time and repeated treatment. Although pains are relieved by operation in 80 percent of patients, but a chronic active disease is easy to recur, particularly in young patients after conservative operation. The treatment of endometriosis focuses on hormone drugs causing amenorrhea and trying to pseudocyesis, fake menopause or long-term stopping ovulation for therapeutic purposes. Progestin can prevent countercurrent endometrial planting and growth, and inhibit matrix metalloproteinase forming and angiogenesis, and have anti-inflammatory effects in vitro or vivo, thus reduce the metabolic...
