Correlation Between Optic Disk Parameter Of HRT And Visual Defects In Primary Open Angle Glaucoma

Object:This study was designed to study the visual field defects and optic disc parameter of HRT in patients with primary open angle glaucoma.Methods:Thirty eyes of 19 cases with primary open angle glaucoma and thirty eyes of 25 cases with suspected open angle glaucoma were examined by HRT-â…¡ and Humphrey Field Analyzer. The parameters of HRT- â…¡ included cup/disk, cup area, rim area, cup volume, rim volume, cup/disk area ratio, linear cup/disk ratio, mean cup depth, maximum cup depth, mean retinal nerve fibre layer thickness, cup shape measure and disk area. The parameters of HRT- â…¡ were analyzed for the correlation with mean defect of visual field.Results:There were linear correlation between rim area,rim volume, cup/disk area ratio, maximum cup depth, mean retinal nerve fibre layer thickness, cup shape measure and mean defect in POAG patients.
