Objective: To evaluate the possibility that the capsid protein L1 B cell common epitope short peptide of human papillomavirus capsid protein L1 as a HPV's vaccine candidate. Methods: Establishing HPV capsid L1 B cell common epitope short peptide vaccine after comparison and analysising the three-dimensional structure and amino acid sequence of the HPV-16,18,6,11 and other key pathotype HPV capsid protein L1; then immunizing animals with the short peptide; at last, detecting the immunological character of the short peptide and the antiserum induced by the short peptide with methods of ELISA, SDS-PAGE electrophoresis,Western blot and immunohistochemistry. Results: The short peptide when combined with Fruend's adjuvant could induce high titer antiserum in animals which could participate in cross neutralization reaction With several types of HPV.Conclusions: capsid protein L1 B cell common epitope short peptide of Human papillomavirus can be used as a vaccine candidate.
