Background: Cerebral infarction, Coronary heart disease and Type 2 diabetes are the three most dangerous diseases which threaten the life and the quality of life of the older persons, and the incidence gradually turn to younger crowd. The syndrome study by modern Chinese medicine of the three diseases indicates that the blood stasis is important to Cerebral infarction, Coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes. This study mainly approach the distribution feature of the blood stasis in the three diseases and the correlation factor of the blood stasis. And this study will provid reference for the doctor when they make a diagnosis in the futrue. Methods: We assembled the hospitalization case in the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine subsidiary Dongzhimen Hospital during January 1st, 2003 to December 31,2005, and selected the cases according to inclusion and exclusion criteria.Enter the selected case into questionnaire and dialectical. Then input all data into SPSS to set up the database and statistics the data. Results: 1. Syndrome Analyses The syndrome which has the highest frequency in all the 1,197 cases is Qixu Syndrome(QS), a total of 945 cases, accounting for 78.9%; Followed by the BBS, a total of 883 cases, representing 73.8%; the 3rd one is the Tanzhuo Syndrome(TS), a total of 824 cases, accounting for 68.8%. The syndrome which has the highest frequency in the Acute cerebral infarction is Tanzhuo Syndrome(TS), accounting for 78.2%; Followed by the BBS, accounting for 77%. The syndrome which has the highest frequency in coronary heart disease is Qixu Syndrome(QS), accounting for 85.6%; The BBS stasis followed, accounting for 79.5%. The syndrome which has the highest frequency in type 2 diabetes is Qixu Syndrome(QS) (85.3%), second is Shenxu Syndrome(SS) (83.6%), the third place is the BBS, accounting for 65.5%. In the three diseases, the four syndrome combination has the highest frequency, followed by the five syndrome combination and the three syndrome combination, the single syndrome and more than six syndrome combination have the least frequency. In the three diseases, the four syndrome combination which has the highest frequency altogether is BBS,QS,TS,SS combination.2. Correlation Factor Analyses Body type has no correlation with BBS (P> 0.05). In the six diet habits, tobacco and wine habits affect the incidence of BBS (P <0.01), but other dietary habits has no correlation with BBS (P> 0.05). Disease course has a close correlation with BBS (P <0.01). SBP,HBP and HR have no correlation with BBS (P> 0.05).Conclusions: BBS is throughout almost the entire courses of acute cerebral infarction, coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes. And QS,TS even have more important impact than BBS in a certain course or certain disease potentially. Research shows that bodytype has no correlation with BBS, but appetiting tobacco and wine effect the morbidity of BBS. With the development of the course the emergence of BBS has a gradually increasing trend, by which the"Bing jiu ru luo"and"Jiu bing xue yu"theorys have been confirmed.
