Objective To evaluate the clinical and radiological manifestation of pulmonary arteriovenous malformation and improve the diagnosis ability of this rare disease through clinical case analysis. Methods Retrospectively analysing 9 the clinical characteristics of patients with confirmed pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVM) involved in our hospital and partial brother hospital from January 2001 to January 2007. Results 1.There were 6 male and 3 female patients with the average age of 37.5(16-46) years old.2.The complains included cardiopalmus and breathlessness ofter exertion and hemoptysis and the main signs included cyanosis acropachy and pulmonary vascular bruit.3. 9 patients's MSCTA diagnosis were improved by DSA,4 cases located in left lung and 5 cases located in right lung .It divides into nodule series And abnormal transportation blood vessel series,2 cases belong to the former and 7 cases belong to the latter. It also divides into simple series and multiplicity series, 2 nodule series cases all belong to simple series ,5 belong to simple series and 2 belong to multiplicity series in 7 abnormal transportation blood vessel series. Conclusion PAVM is an uncommon disease, and can be easily misdiagnosed. More attention should be paid to its clinical features and management. MSCT and its reconstruction techniques have important value in diagnosing pulmonary arteriovenous malformations, and can provide important instruction to treatment.
