| Objective To discuss the ways of diagnosis and the therapeutic effects of operative treatments. Methods A total of 7 cases of rotator cuff tears from June 2006 to January 2007 were surgically treated in our hospital. Before operation,X-ray examinations at anteroposterior view and MRI of shoulder joint were conducted in all cases, in which 6 cases showed stenosis of acromion- caput humeralis interspace, and the shoulder MRI all showed the rotator cuff tears. All the cases were confirmed in operation.Four of the 7 cases were treated in open approach, and in two cases arthroscoper-assisted rotator cuff repair with a small incision approach were performed, and only one cese used arthroscopic treatment. Results All patients were available for follow-up for 3 to 10 months, the average follow-up period being 7 months. Bases on the scale of UCLA shoulder grading standard, one was graded excellent, five were good, and one was fair. The overall excellent and good rate was 85.7%. Conclusion MRI had high sensitibity in detecting rotator cuff tears, and it can be performed with routine method;Arthroscopy can euthyphoria the pathological changed tissues, not only for a way of diagnosis, but also for a mini-lesion operative treatment. With operative treatment, the therapeutic effects of rotator cuff repair were significant. And arthroscope especially plays animportant role in the treatment of rotator cuff tears, it has such advantages as minimal invasion, safety, early rehabilitation, and rapid recovery,it can be the tendency of the operative treatment for rotator cuff tears repair. |
