Objection To investigate the position of MTB in human by using modern imageological techniques; To further study function of MTB in gastric emptying between HS group and FD group with Real-time Ultrasound. Methods Thirty healthy subjects were instructed to intake 500ml test meal labeled by 99m-Tc-DTPA. MTB were positioned by ultrasound firstly and its corresponding part on body surface were marked with one lead strip whose width is 2cm, which were fixed by coated fabric. Immediately SPECT was employed to scan the abdomen. Every other day X-Ray was used to Photograph the same part on body surface. By means of comparing the position of MTB combined three modern imageological techniques, that can contribute to locating MTB. Once position is successful , Data of GE in 30 healthy subjects and 20 subjects with FD could be obtained , who were instructed to intake 500ml test meal. Finally data of GET1/2 between two groups and the width and position of MTB at the seven time point (0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120min) were compared. Results MTB in human located at gastric angle; GET1/2 of proximal and distal stomach in HS group were 72.5±24.2,84.4±14.8 , respectively, GET1/2 of proximal and distal stomach in FD group were 113.1±9.9,110.9±14.8.Gastric emptying delay in proximal and distal stomach could be noted. Conclusion MTB can be noticed in two groups after ingesting test meal; Its location corresponds to GA; Gastric emptying in FD group delayed than HS group. MTB relates to gastric emptying in both groups; Changes of areas of proximal and distal stomach and width of MTB can be demonstrated by ultrasound.
