The Study On Mechanism Of Acupuncture At Jiaji Acupoints For Insulin Resistance Rats

Objective: To study the effect of acupuncture at JiaJi acupoints on insulin resistance(IR) rats and its mechanism in IR.Method: 1.male Wistar rats were divided into four groups: The IR rats without treatment(I), the IR rats with acupuncture- treatment(A), the prevented group(P) and the normal controls(NC), each group has 10 rats: The NC group rats were fed with normal chew without treatment, the, A, P group rats of IR model group were fed with high fat chew, The P group were administrated acupuncture per day from beginning of fed and A group were administrated acupuncture per day after 10 days fed high-fat chew. 2.The euglycemic hyperinsulinemic clamp study was conducted to evaluate the perpheral glucose infusion rate(GIR) in each group. After forty days, the blood samples were collected to evaluate Fasting Plasma Glucose(FPG), Fasting Plasma insulin (FINS), the insulin Sensitivity index(ISI) to observe the application of Acupuncture. 3.Statistical method:Makes statistics analysis processing using the SPSS 13.0 software, in the groupwith the variance analysis, the t examination,P<0.05 has instatistics the significance.Results: After rase the experimental sucrose diet for 10 days, the FPG, FINS and insulin C-peptide(INS/C-p) Were higher than that normal rats(P<0.01) and the ISI was lower than that normal rats(P<0.01).This indicated that the experimental rats had become resistant to insulin, After the application of Acupuncture for 4 weeks, the FPG, FINS and C-peptide(INS/C-p) levels diminished significantly. The ISI also clearly improved which proved that Acupuncture could improve the state of IR in experimental rats.Conclusions: 1 .Acupuncture Can regulate FPG, FINS, ISI and improve IR.2. There is a satisfactorily clinical effection for IR through acupuncturing at JiaJi acupoints earlierly.3. Acupuncture is one the more effective form treating for IR.
