Clinic Application Study Of MVEP Of Primary Open-angle Glaucoma

ObjectiveTo investigate the levels of mVEP in the primary open-angel glaucoma patients'examination .To observe the relationship with mVEP and subjective Humphrey visual field. To approach the contribution of mVEP in the primary open-angel glaucoma.MethodsTesting 13 subjects 26 eyes with the patients of definitively diagnosed primary open-angel glaucoma from Apirl,2006 to March,2007. All the patients had used drugs to control the intraocular pressure blow 20mmHg.All the patients take the mVEP and visual field exam. Take the result on x~2 test and correlativity analysis.ResultsAll patients have change in the mVEP.Percent84.6 of patients have change in visual field exam. Swing concentrations with change of visual field were positive correlation. Latent period concentrations were negative correlation. Four patients had mVEP change earlier than in visual field examine.ConclusionExamination of mVEP had concentrations with examine of visual field. The mVEP could find the nerve cell drop earlier than in visual field examine.
