The Research Of The Main Affecting Factors Of The High Risk Behaviors Of Men Who Have Sex With Men (MSM) In Tainyuan

Objective:The survey of the ministry of health indicats that the Infection Rate with HIV Virus among the man who have sex with man(MSM)is 1%～4%in 2006.The MSM groups has became the HIV high risk groups.The direct reasons of HIV spread is the special high-risk behaviors of the group.Although the Prevention Intervention of the high-risk behaviors of the group have been done in many cities,the special sub-culture,the diversity of composition,the special behaviors and the different existent state in the group bring many difficults in the HIV Prevention Intervention of this group.So it is necessary to know the status of the local group, discuss the main affecting factors of the high risk behaviors in the target group,bring forward a great variety of intervention strategies for the prevention of different individuals and subpopulations in the MSM groups and provide theoretic foundation for the concrete content and implementation project of the AIDS prevention intervention in SHANXI province.Method:We conducted a target sample survey of 98 MSM with an anonymous questionnaire.Analysis the correlation of the Demology Factors and the high-risk behaviors and discuss the deep affecting factors of the high risk behaviors with a face to face interview.Result:The participants in this invertigation covered the large age span,from 17 to 54 years old.Most of the participants are under 30 years old;The educational level is higher,79.6% of the participants had received high school education or above;widely different occupations;all the participants had sex with MSM,the median age at the first sexual intercourse with a man was 18 years old.Multiple sexual partners were common,the number of male sex partners can reach to 200 in this investigation.The flowability of MSM is higher in this city,45.9%of the participants of this investigation lived in this less than 5 years.35.7%of the participants have sex with non-local man,it bring the risk of HIV cross regional spread.The knowledge of HIV was mainly from magazines,newspapers,internets and friends;17.3%of MSM have sex with woman in the past 6 monthes;32.6%of the participants bought-sex and sold-sex respectively.; few people could insistently use condom during sexual behaviors.The rate of condom use was low in the past 6 monthes,38.7%were insertive partners,41.8%were receptive partners.17.3% of the participants have tested the HIV,none of them have the positive result.Only 11.2%of the participants admit have STD in the last past 12 monthes.The attitude of condom,the status of childhood,Communication Circumstance,living environment and the fluence of regular sexual partners of the participants can be the great influence factor of the high risk behaviors. Conclusion:The local MSM is very active in sexual activities,multiple partaners, unprtected anal and oral inter-course and oral/anal intercourse by seldom using condom are common phenomenons.There is relationship between age and the occurance of high risk behavior.interpersonal interaction and group factors have the greatly direct correlation of high risk behaviors.So it is necessary to bring forward a great variety of intervention strategies,which can reduce and change the high risk behaviors,and retort the prevalence trend of HIV.
