Objective To study the effect of Ultravist(370)coronary angiography on renal function in patients with normal renal functions and urine routine by way of measuring urine Cystatin C, blood Cystatin C,BUN,Scr levels before and after procedure. Methods All subjects were enrolled from in-patients in changzhi peace hospital cardiovascular department from November 2006 to January 2007 who underwent coronary angiography. We studied total of 48 patients.Urine Cystatin C,blood Cystatin C,BUN,Scr levels of 48 patients were measured before and at 6 and 12 hours after ultravist(370) coronary angiography. Results 1.It was found that Ultravist(370)coronary angiography had no significant effect on the levels of blood Cystatin C,BUN,Scr(P>0.05).2.Urine Cystatin C level significantly increased at 6 and 12 hours after ultravist(370)coronary angiography [(0.151±0.077)mg/L vs(0.128±0.062),(0.175±0.103)mg/L vs(0.128±0.0.062)mg/L](P<0.05). 3.Urine Cystatin C level at 12 hours post procedure is higher than that at 6 hours [(0.175±0.103)mg/L vs(0.151±0.077)mg/L](P<0.05).Conclusion 1.The urine Cystatin C level of patients significantly increased after Uhravist(370)coronary angiography.2.The levels of blood Cystatin C,BUN,Scr had no significantly difference.3.Urine Cystatin C is a sensitive parameter in early renal tubule injury.
