Objective: The paper researched the treat effect and action mechanism of totalCoumarins ofFructus Cnidii (TCFC) on osteoporosis rats by retinoic acid. Methods: Wistar rats of male were randomly divided into six groups: normalcontrol(NC),model control group(MCG),masculine drug control group(MDC),TotalCoumarins of Fructus Cnidii high, middle, low dose group(H-TCFC,M-TCFC,L-TCFC). Except normal control group, the rest five groups has intragastricadministration in retinoic acid(70mg/kg) continuous three weeks to prepareosteoporosis models. Then divided into group administration. Excepted NC and MCGintragastric administration in distilled water, MDC intragastric administration inXianlinggubao capsule 0.27 mg/kg, others groups to part administration TCFC80mg/kg,40mg/kg,20mg/kg one time every day continuous four weeks. After the lastintragastric administration 24 hours to take blood in aorta abdominalis by 3ï¼…chloralhydrate anesthetized. Determined contents of the rats serum calcium(Ca),phosphours(P),alkaline phosphatase (ALP),testosterone(T),estradiol (E2), and detected thevariances of vitodynamics, mineral density and morphometry et al of femoral bone.To compared its significance of difference. Results: The TCFC can degrade the ALP activity, and make the contents of T,E2 obviously increase. Otherwise the TCFC can streng then the max tolerance,anti-bending strength, anchylelastic modulus, anchylabruptly energy and anchyltotal energy of bones. Eventually, the TCFC make the cortical substance of bone obviouslythickening, improve the form of bone trabecula and increase obviously the pieces ofbone trabecula, width average and percentage. But the TCFC can not influence thebone mineral content.
