Objective: To investigate the short-term clinical efficacy and toxicities of preoperative arterialinterventional neoadjuvant chemotherapy in cervical cancer (NACT) ; To evaluate the value and safety ofthe clinical application of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. To explore the expression changes of the cellularsymbols cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), Ki-67nuclear antigen (Ki-67) before and after the neoadjuvantchemotherapy in cervical cancer and explore their the effect of predicting the sensitivity of NACT incervical cancerMethods: 20 cases of cervical cancer underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy using cisplatin-based regiments. After 1~2 courses of chemotherapy, the clinical efficacy and toxicities including the changes of hepaticand renal function, the changes of blood system were observed. The tissue samples were kept, immunochemistry S-P and Envision methods were carried out the test COX-2 and KI-67. Carry on thedata processing with the SPSS13.0 statistics software, data express with mean±standard deviation, twogroup comparison by t test. Two factors comparison by pearson linear correlation analysis, stage correlationanalysis use Spearman correlation analysis. Results: The overall response rate was 85.0%(17/20). The surgery rate was 90.0%(18/20), 2 cases of thepatients lost the operation chance and accepted radiotherapy for late stage. The toxicities were slight. Thereis no obvious change in blood system, low leukocyte appeared in only 2 cases of the patients; Aspartateaminotransferase(AST) rose apparently, yet it was also in the normal range, the other variables had nosignificant change.COX-2 and KI-67 levels were significantly lower after NACT; COX-2 and KI-67 levelswere significantly lower after NACT in clinically effective groups, there is no stastical significance inclinically non-effective groups; There is stastical significance in different clinical effective groupsbefore NACT;No correlation was discovered between COX-2, KI-67 and clinical stage, pathologicaltype, pathological stage. Conclusions: Preoperative arterial interventional neoadjuvant chemotherapy could improve the short-termefficacy of cervical cancer. It has small influence on bone marrow, hepatic and renal function; Thetoxicities are and side effects are slight, the safety is good and the patients could tolerate well. COX-2,KI-67tevels could not only show the proliferative status, but are an important kind of referential parametersto evaluate the curative efficacy of drugs in cervical cancer. It could predits the sensitivity and curativeefficacy of NACT to test the COX-2, KI-67 levels, which is useful to the direction of the clinicalapplication of NACT.
