Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer and a major cause of death among women. Treatment for early-stage breast cancer typically involves lumpectomy or partial mastectomy to remove the carcinoma and its margins, followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy to destroy any remaining cancer cells. Clinical studies have shown local hyperthermia to be effective in the treatment of breast cancer, as well as other types of cancer when delivered as an adjuvant radiation or chemotherapy. With the development of biomedicine engineering, electromagnetic radiation is regarded as more and more important in diagnose and therapy to cancer. According to the temperature above 42°C, which can kill the tumor cell but not hurt the normal cell, the microwave can used to cure tumor. The objective of hyperthermia treatment is to raise the temperature in the tumor volume above 42°C-43°C for a sufficient period of time in order to achieve cell death. This paper is based on the earlier result microwave hyperthermia treatment of breast cancer by inside and outside body method. It presents FDTD method to deal with electromagnetic radiation hyperthermia treatment of breast cancer. The main works include:At beginning, the dielectric characteristic of biology tissue and tumor, the background and development of microwave hyperthermia treatment of breast cancer is illustrated. By using some known literature information and illustration, some necessary datum about human body's tissues is deducted and is used to do next research work.Secondly, a simplification model for analyzing is founded according to physiological structure of human surface. The Finite-Difference Time-Domain method is used to analyze and calculate the modeling problem for both different permittivity and magnetic permeability, the characteristics analysis for tumor absorbers are given. Then, this paper is demonstrated by comparison with FORTRAN computation program result and Ansoft HFSS result. The result of FORTRAN computation program result can be examined by it. Thirdly , it is proposed to cure breast tumor by antenna array of electromagnetic radiation .The center direction of radiation is beast tumor, which means the hyperthermia treatment only for the beast tumor. The effect of SAR by changing the frequency and amplitude of antenna can give some conclusions.Last, the summary which including some weakness and questions need to be solved is given about the whole paper and suggestions for the further research are proposed.
