ObjectiveAccording summarizing the correlation between the Syndrome of blood stasis andprognostic factors of breast cancer, to set up basic foundation to evaluate theprognostic condition and the method of blood-activating and stasis-resolvingparticipating to synthetically treat breast cancer, in order to decrease the recurrenceand metastasis of tumor.MethodTo do case control study in methods of clinical epidemiology. Based on theliterature and retrospective studies, to establish clinical observation table and collectthe information of patients, then referring to the classification standard of blood stasisto do the differentiation of symptoms and signs, the selected patients were dividedinto two groups of blood stasis syndrome and non-blood stasis syndrome. Andprognostic factors were examined, including pathological classification of the tumor, grade of cytology, the metastasis number of axilla lymph nodes, estrogenreceptor(ER), progesterone recepror(PR), Her-2 protein, p53 gene and vascularendothelial growth factor(VEGF). All information were input the established databaseand dealt with by describing analysis, chi square test, rank test and Logistic regressionand ect to confirm that the Syndrome of blood stasis is correlated with prognosticfactors of breast cancer.ResultWhen classified the TCM symptom of the preoperative patients with breast cancer, the Syndrome of blood stasis was 62.6%, and the Syndrome of non blood stasis was37.4%.The following study included two parts: the first one was describing analysis, thesecond one was regression analysis. In prognositic factors, the study showed that pathological staging, the clinicaltumor staging and the metastasis number of axilla lymph nodes had close relationship with the Syndrome of blood stasis, and the difference was significant(P<0.05), whichwas analyzed by rand-sum test. And there was no evidence manifested thathistological classification, tumor cell nuclear grade, ER, PR, Her-2, p53 and VEGFhad no correlation with distribution of the Syndrome of blood stasis (P>0.05).Eventually, according to rank-sum test by the syndrome-classification of TCM andprognositic factors of breast cancer(pathological staging, the clinical tumor staging, the metabasis number of axillary lymph nodes, histological classification, tumor cellnuclear grade, ER, PR, Her-2, p53 and VEGF), the result showed that the Syndromeof blood stasis had positive correlation with the clinical tumor staging and themetabasis number of axillary lymph nodes. By testing this statistical model, chisquare value was 24.061 and P value was 0.000, which the difference was significantbetween two groups of blood stasis syndrome and non-blood stasis syndrome(P<0.05).ConclusionThe result showed that the Syndrome of blood stasis had correlation with theprognostic factors. The Syndrome of blood stasis possibly had a contribution to thebad prognosis of breast cancer.
