In this paper,in B-R buffer solution, the reaction conditions of the interaction of antibiotics with Methyl blue, aniline blue, amaranth were investigated using static mercury electrode and dropping mercury electrode as working electrode by electrochemical methods such as the cyclic voltammetry ,linear scan voltammetry and the second order derivative polarography ,et al. These organic dyes have well-defined voltammetric reductive peak. Adding antibiotics to above solution, the antibiotics interacted with organic dye molecules and made the peak current of organic dye molecules decrease, while the voltage of the reductive peak did not change nearly. The decrease of the peak current was linearly with the concentration of antibiotics ,which may be used to the determination of antibiotics. In this method the regressions curve of antibiotics were worked out and further applied to determinate the antibiotic samples and the results were consistent with the spectrophotometry. The mechanism of the interaction of antibiotics with organic dye molecules was originally discussed, and the binding ratio and binding constant were also calculated. According to the UV-Vis absorption spectra of the reaction system,it was illustrated that organic dye molecules may react with antibiotics and form new complex. The forming of electrochemically non-active complex would result in the decrease of the equilibrium concentration of the organic dyes in solution and further the decrease of the reductive peak current. In addition, this paper reports a quantitative analysis for determination of sparfloxacin using the poly(Alizarin Red) film modified electrode. This method was applied to the determination of sparfloxacin in tablets commercial-available with satisfactory resilts.Furthermore,a new electrochemical method for determination of antibiotics was advanced.
