Objective:The research is to analyse hard tissues of patients in permanentdentition by cephalometrics to detect the difference of craniofacial patternsin Angle's classâ… and Angle's classâ…¡division 1 patients. According to theanalyses of the difference of classâ…¡divisionâ… malocclusion in permanentdentition with hard tissues and Angle's classâ… . The objective is to givedifferent reference for diagnosis, the therapy and prognosis. Methods:The subjects were carefully selected and composed of 60 patients.Thirty classâ… and thirty classâ…¡division 1 patients with permanent dentionwere selected randomly, aged from 12 years old to 17 years old,With anaverage age of 13.6 classâ… ,with an average of 13.8 classâ…¡division 1.Lateral cephalographs were taken for each patient. Cephalometriclandmarks were marked on each patient's lateral head film. Five kinds ofcephalometric analysis methods were used in this study, includingRicketts&Mcnamara,Steiner&Tweed,Northwestern,Linear,Angular. Differences of craniofacial pattern were compared. Results:The angles ofANB,NAPog,Occlusal pl. to SN,IMPA,U1 to FH,U1 to SN,L1 to Go-Gn,in classâ…¡division 1 patients were larger thanthat of classâ… patients, but there were no difference in angles of SNA,PP-SN,Go Gn-SN. The angles of L1 to Occlusal plane,Interincisal angle,FMIA in classâ… patients were larger than those of classâ…¡division 1patients. The length of Pog to NB,U1 to N-Pog was longer in classâ…¡division 1 patients than in classâ… . Differents were found between male andfemale, but no conflict. Conclusion:The main differences of craniofacial pattern in Angle' s classâ… andAngle' s classâ…¡division 1 patients relied on the relative location the of themandible to the maxilly. The incisors in maxilly and mandible were learnerto lips in classâ…¡division 1 malocclusion. Some differents weredifferent between male and female, but no conflict.
