Objective:To explore the effects of insulin intensive therapy on the level of CK,CK-MB,C-reactive protein(CRP) and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1) of thepatients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) ,to explore the inherent machanism thatinsulin intensive therapy might affect the prognosis of the patients with AMI.Methods: 60 patients with AMI were selected ,including 32 males and 28females and mean age was 65±10.5 years old. They were devided into two groupsrandomly:groupA were treated with GIK for 48 hours and keep plasma glucose at5.0mmol/l to 8.0mmol/l (17 males and 15 females), group B were treated with salineand potassium for 48hours (15 males and 13 females). The CRP, PAI-1,plasma glucose,CK,CK-MB were measured respectively. Results: At adimittance ,there were no significant differences for the levels of serumCRP,CK,CK-MB,PAI-1 and glucose before treatment between group A and groupB.After intensive insulin treatment, group A exhibited a reduction in plasmaconcentration of CRP,CK,CK-MB,PAI-1 and glucose. Conclusion: Through controlling serum glucose, intensive insulin therapy reducedplasma concentration of glucose,CRP and PAI-1. Insulin could depress inflammationreaction and improve fibrinoiytic function of the patients with AMI, as well as, plasmaglucose concentration directly related with CRP and PAI-1,CRP was related with PAI-1directly.
