The Adjusting Study Of Effect On Extracellular Matrix And Related Cell Factor By Momordica Charantia In Diabetes Nephropathy Rat

Objective To investigate the mechanism of adjusting of extracellular matrix(ECM) by momordica charantia in diabetes nephropathy rats.Methods 80 wistar male rats were divided into 4 groups randomly: the normalcontrol group(A group),the model group(B group),the bitter gourd group(C group)and the medicine control group(D group), with the stomach empty, DN rat modelswere induced by STZ once intraperitoneal injection in one time.The rats' bloodglucose and 24h urinary albumin were observed every week, and five weeks later thekidney tissue were taken to measure the expression of the Collagen-Ⅳ,Fibronectin(FN) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) by the means ofimmunohistochemistry.Result The Momordica charantia can remarkably reduce the blood glucose and24h urinary albumin,decrease the deposition of Collagen-Ⅳand FN in DN rat, lowerthe expression of the factor related to fibrosis-TGF-β1.Conclusion The Momordica charantia can remarkably ameliorate thepathologic conditions of renals in DN rats, and protect the renals well.
