| Objective: To investigate psychosocial factors in community patients with hypertension and approach the effect of psychosocial factors on the drug treatment of the patients with hypertension. Methods: Psychosocial factors were investigated in the 460 community residents in Hunan by Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS), Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS), Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) and Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14). According to the standards, 218 patients chosen from 230 EH patients were divided into two groups, the group with higher score on psychology test and the group with normal score on psychology test(SAS, SDS). Each group was divided into two subgroups respectively, the higher SSRS subgroup, lower SSRS subgroup. All the patients were administrated with Indapamide 2.Smg, taking orally once a day, Blood pressures and side effects were observed during 8-week following-up.Results: A total 460 community residents enrolled, with hypertension group(n=230), normal blood pressure group(n=230). The prevalence of anxiety in hypertension group was 41.3% and that of depression was 14.3%. The prevalence of anxiety in normal blood pressure group was 31.7% and that of depression was 6.5%. The scores of SAS(38.09±8.48 vs 34.47±7.58), SDS(34.98±5.36 vs 31.39±4.68), SSRS(38.21±8.48 vs 40.85±6.73) and FS-14(7.54±3.52 vs 6.70±3.34) had significantly statistical difference (P<0.05) between hypertension group and normal blood pressure group. The total effective rates (50.5% vs 66.3%) in higher-psychologyscored group and normal-psychology-scored group had significantly statistical difference (P<0.05). The total effective rates (63.8% vs 57.9%) between higher SSRS subgroupr and lower SSRS subgroup in the higer-psychology-scored group had significantly statistical difference (P<0.05). The total effective rates (73.1% vs 55.0%) between higher SSRS subgrouphigher and lower SSRS subgroup in the normalpsychology-scored group had no significantly statistical difference (P>0.05).Conclusions: 1. Community hypertensive patients had poor mental health,, and their scores of SAS, SDS and FS-14 were higher than normal blood pressure residents, and their scores of SSRS were lower than normal blood pressure residents.2. The influence of psychosocial factors to antihypertensive effect prospectively, showed that psychosocial factors might be important in influencing the therapeutic effect of Indapamide in the community patients with hypertension. It is important to pay more attention to Psychosocial factors of hypertensive patients. |
