| Objective: To observe effects of extract ginkgo biloba on antioxidant enzyme in blood serum and exercise ability, and discuss the EGB function of delaying exercise fatigue and its reactive function after fatigue, which lay a theoretical foundation for the application and development of EGB in sport field. Methods: 20 students are randomly divided into experiment and control group, the former taking EGB for 15 days and the latter placebo of the same dosage for 15 days. Both groups have their normal diets during the 15 days. After 15 days, measure the change value of the SOD,GSH-Px and MDA in the blood serum. Subjects are required to put up the incremental-load exhaustive exercise, and the sport time, index of RPE, heart rate, and GSH-Px, MDA, SOD are measured shortly after exercise. (1) Measure the antioxidant index: take the vena blood of 2ml from each subject; inject into the test tube prepared beforehand, and then centrifugate for 10 minutes in the centrifuge. Blood serum centrifuged have the GSH-Px, MDA, SOD test according to reagent kit.(2) Study the exercise ability: after 15days, subjects in both groups put up the incremental-load exhaust exercise on the MANARK power bicycle wearing the POLAR meter. The load starts from 50W and increase every 3 minutes by 50W till subjects are exhausted. The exhaustive standard is that subjects cannot keep the exercise of the intensity in spite of the repeated encouragement. Measure the sport time, RJPE index and heart rate after the exercise. Results: (1) Measurement of the antioxidant index: compared with control group, the experiment group has no significant change in MDA, SOD, GSH-Px before the exercise; whereas it has significant difference after exhaust exercise in MDA (P<0.05), SOD (P<0.05), and GSH-Px (P<0.05); (2) There are significant differences between the two groups in exercise duration (P<0.05) and RPE Index (P<0.05), but no obvious difference in heart rate (P>0.05).Conclusion: supplementing EGB can decrease the free radical manifold, increase the effect of antioxidant in exercise process, improve human sport ability, and delay exercise fatigue. |
