Abstract/Summary:
ObjectiveTo explore a radiopaque perfusing material consisting of carboxymethylcellulose(CMC)-suspended lead oxide(LO), according to exposed material characteristic, for both anatomic procedure and CT three-dimensional reconstruction in specimens, and its suitable concentrations within the scope of the LO and CMC by orthogonal design. Then ,three-dimensional histogram of pixels in livers perfused by a modified, suitable concentration- based lead oxide-carboxymethylcellulose injection technology to be demonstrated the validity of perfusing material. Finally,to evaluate the quality of reconstructed image and initially approach usefulnesses of those images in anatomy teaching and surgery trainingMaterial and Method1. Investigational medthods of lead oxide- carboxymethylcellulose mixtures: According to the concentration of carboxymethylcellulose solutions(referred 6%,8%,10%,12%) and the Pb3O4 (g)/H2O(L) ratio (referred 50g/L,100g/L,150g/L,200g/L), sixteen lead oxide suspensions matching carboxymethylcellulose solutions were ordered by orthogonal design and then were casted with 20ml injectors. The optimal concentration within the scope of the LO and CMC cbtained through the coefficients of variation of CT average value in scaned computed tomography casts, while volume ratio of formed hydrogel in those were calculated to assess the capability of deformation and CT average value to reflect the lead oxide water concentration.2. The three-dimensinal histograms of pixels in CMC/LO- perfused livers underlaying the dental base acrylic resin powder portal vein perfusion and gelatin perfusion in hepatic veins for formation ,which associated with computed tomography images of livers, were relatively analyzed to demonstrate the validity.3. A list of image quality score designed to integrate with literatures by ourself was applied for evaluation the quality of three-dimensional reconstructed image of biliary system. And, stage numbers of bile duct appeared also were figured out.4. Mimics software dealed with the reconstructed image, approaching its applicationsResluts1. The concentration levels of CMC and LO shifting respectively from 10%,150g/L to 12%,150g/L above were suitable for three-dimensional imaging.2. Quantity distribution of three-dimensional CT pixels had obviously differences between in liver parenchyma and in perfused biliary system with modified CMC/LO material, but more than that the consistency of three-dimensional CT pixel distribution represented not only in linear location also quantity level of histogram. And,the biliary system were dissected from liver parenchyma by regulating the window level and window width in CT images.3. The stage numbers of bile duct representing inⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ,Ⅶ,Ⅷsection were respectively6.0±2.31,11.0±1.10,11.0±1.43,8.0±1.75,12.0±1.52,12.0±0.31,13.0±2.41,11.0±1.85. The average image superiority rate of bile duct in sections revealed 98.0%,94.0%,94.0%,97.0%,96.8%,96.8%,95.4%,97.0% by turns. The total average image superiority rate in 6 livers was 96.1%. 4. The reconstructed images could be arbitrarily revolved, dissected, selectively shaded, and perceived of the space of bile duct location in liver provided loading transparent liver body image.Conclusion1. CMC/LO as the hydrogel, a material that is of smaller deformation, higher uniformity of suspended lead oxide, in which the CT average value rises with the increase of LO concentration, is a excellent loading agent, its suitable concentration level represents 10%~12% for CMC and 150g/L above for LO.2. The histogram of three-dimensional pixels in livers demonstrates that the modified CMC/LO material is suitable for three-dimensional reconstruction of biliary system. The reconstructed bile duct images are excellent with 96.1% of total average image superiority rate and the exposion of average 10 stages bile duct.3. The most important is that the reconstructed images could be not only arbitrarily revolved, dissected, selectively shaded, also perceived of the space of bile duct location in liver when loading transparent liver body image, applying for multimedia anatomy teaching and surgery training.
