| The use of permanent radioactive implants (125I or 103pd seeds) to treat selected localized prostate cancer patients is a treatment method of tumor in which seales radioactive sources are used to diliver radiation at a short distance by interstial. Technical developments and treatment planning are introduced in this paper, the study of dose calculation is illuminated as Well.On the base of dose caculating algorithms, two medical soft-wares were programmed, Treatment Planning System of Brachytherapy and Dose Calculating System of Prostate Brachytherapy.This Treatment Planning System of Brachytherapy can calculate dose distribution of LDR seed source I125 and Pd103 which were used commonly in interstial treatment of tumor at present. For obtaining the distribution of absorbed dose in tumor and surrounding tissues after implant of seeds, the softwares were programmed. Dose distribution of multi-seeds were obtained from these software based on that of single seed by using linear splicing. Under the condition of even or uneven single plane distribution of seed, isodose curve were plotted. Isodose curve were produced by scanning the dose gridding.Dose Calculating System of Prostate Brachytherapy established seven prostate models and four seeds' distributed methods. It can analysis the effect of different seed distribution to different prostate model. |
