Changes Of Lipid Metabolism And The Relation With APACHEⅡ In Thyrotoxic Crisis

OBJECTIVE:To study the changes of the lipid metabolism and the relation and the significance of the lipid metabolism with APACHEâ…¡in thyrotoxic crisis patients.METHODS:Detected the lipid metabolism,triiodothyronine(FT₃), thyroxine(FT₄),body mass index(BMI)and marked down the score of APACHEâ…¡in 42 thyrotoxic crisis patientsRESULTS:â‘ The results showed that the levels of TC, LDL-C and TG in hyperthyroidism patients were significantly decreased (P＜0.05)compared with control group,thelevels of BMI and TC, LDL-C,TG were significant decreased between the thyrotoxic crisis group and control group(P＜0.05).Meanwhile,the levels of HDL-C was significantly increased between the hyperthyroidism and thyrotoxic crisis group(P＜0.01).â‘¡Compared with the levels of TC and LDL-C were significantly decreased(P＜0.05)between the teenage patients of thyrotoxic crisis group and control group.The levels of TC, LDL-C and TG in young patients of thyrotoxic crisis group were significantly decreased(P＜0.05)between control group.The levels of TG and LDL-C in middle-aged patients of thyrotoxic crisis group were significantly decreased(P＜0.01)between control group.The levels of LDL-C in aging patients of thyrotoxic crisis group were significantly decreased(P＜0.01)between control group.The levels of TC and HDL-C in aging patients were significantly increased(P＜0.01)between the young patients of thyrotoxic crisis group.â‘¢non-survivor group compared with survivor group,APACHEâ…¡scores was significantly increased(P＜0.01),The levels of HDL-C and TC,LDL-C were significantly decreased(P＜0.05).â‘£The levels of FT₃ was negative correlation with levels of TC and TG(P＜0.01)in thyrotoxic crisis patients.⑤The score of APACHEâ…¡was negative correlation with levels of TC and TG(P＜0.05)in thyrotoxic crisis patients.CONCLUSION:â‘ There were significant changes of lipid metabolism in thyrotoxic crisis,especially in the youth.â‘¡The higher the score of APACHEâ…¡and the lower of TC,LDL-C,HDL-C result in the higher of case fatality.So the score of APACHEâ…¡can evaluate the case fatality in thyrotoxic crisis.â‘¢using intralipos is other way in treating thyrotoxic crisis patients.
