Epimedium Koreanum Nai was herbs of Berberidaceae. It was frequently used traditional Chinese medicine, to have invigorate the kidney, made bones and muscles powerful and to cure beriberoid disease. Traditional Chinese physician used it to cure impotence, hemiparalysis, limbs anesthesia, morbid forgetfulness, hyperpiesia of age critique. Epimedium Koreanum Nakai was main produced in LiaoNing province,JiLin province., natural resources was very plentiful.Epimedium Koreanum Nai also had effectiveness of anti-aging, boost immunological function, inhibit tumor. It was one of the best developed potentiality traditional Chinese medicine . Especially its chemical composition was constantly scholars of home and abroad investigative emphasis. Respecting this, the author deeply studied and researched the chemical composition of Epimedium Koreanum Nai.. Our purpose is aiming to develop Chinese tradition medicine in accordance with market demand, and bring it into international market. This is also a goal of modernization for Chinese tradition medicine.Research progress in chemical constituents of Epimedium Koreanum Nai. and in pharmalcological actions of Epimedium Koreanum Nai. were reviewed by literature search, which to document more information to continue studying chemical constituents of Epimedium Koreanum Nai. and pharmalcological actions of Epimedium Koreanum Nai.Renovated the icariin of technology of extraction, resulting in 99% purity. Provide qualification to rich in standard preparation of icariin.Icariin449mg,korepimedoside A70mg,quercetin274mg,baohuoside-Ⅰ446 mg,sagittatosideA 20ling,baohuoside-Ⅱ60mg,icariside -Ⅰ83rag,β—anhydroicatritin 130mg were isolated from Epimedium Koreanum Nai by D-101 macroporous resin ,including reverse column chromatography and chromatographic analysis . Except quercetin andβ—anhydroicatritin, Others six compounds were 8- isoamylene flavonoid glycoside ,which were key component to anti- heart-blood vessel deseas , immunological enhancement and antineoplasmic activity. We provid crude drug for study original new drug.Determinate the content of total flavonoid by different methods of Epimediurn Koreanum Nai., to consider not official method exactitude. Method was U-V spectrophotometry , Icariin was standard preparation (Pharmacopeia. Method) and rutoside was standard preparation (not Pharmacopeia. Method) .Two methods indicated total flavonoid of Epimedium Koreanum Nai. unceasing cut down with harvest time.But tendency of cutting down in Pharmacopeia. Method was stronger. Pharmacopeia. method was accurate, reliable. Rutoside was standard preparation (not Pharmacopeia. Method) different in real content. This method not suitabl to determinate the content of total flavonoid of Epimedium Koreanum Nai.Determinate the content of total flavonoid in different place of production and different harvest time of Epimedium Koreanum Nai. The content of total flavonoid in Epimedium Koreanum Nai was determined by Pharmacopeia. method, U-V spectrophotometry.The content of total flavonoid in the different place of production of Epimedium Koreanum Nai was very different.
