In the study, the rats with obstructive jaundice were thesubjects. The following contents were done: (1) the effects ofpropofol on the HR andcardiac function and the metabolism of oxygen free radical in in vitro and in vivohearts of rats with obstructive jaundice; (2) the expression of mRNA and protein ofAngiotensin-Converting Enzyme 2 was studied in heart tissue. The results showedthat: (1) the cardiac function of in vitro hearts of rats decreased significantly withobstructive jaundice at the seventh day after operation, but that of in vivo heartsshowed a status of attenuation; (2) Propofol of clinical concentration didn't a obviousinhibitory effect on in vitro cardiac function of BDL and controls rats. Propofol ofhigher concentration decreased significantly cardiac function of BDL group, and thechange was different from SO group significantly; (3) propofol can protect theactivity of SOD in heart tissue and blood and lower MDA; (4) The descending ofACE2mRNA and protein was found in hearts tissue of rats with obstructive jaundice.
