Objective To evaluate the preservative effect of SMO multiorgan preservation solution which is produced by domestic to pig biliary tract. Methods This study was based on the serial study of SMO multiorgan preservation solution. According to detecting the change of biliary epithelia cell structure, apoptosis index and combining the biochemical indicator of bile, blood serum, we hope to appraise the preservative effect of SMO solution to pig biliary tract. Results It showed that preservative effect in SMO group and UW group were better than NS group from morphology. Compared with NS group, damage of epithelial cell morphology of biliary tract in SMO group and UW group were slighter, there was no significant difference between SMO group and UW group. With the preservation time prolongation, apoptotic index(AI) were all increased in three groups, there was no difference between each two groups(p>0.05)at 8h preserving time point. After 16h preserving, the AI of SMO group is lower than NS group(p<0.05), but there was no significant difference between SMO group and UW group(p>0.05). Conclusion SMO group and UW group were better than NS group from morphology. SMO solution has the corresponding preservative effect with UW preservation solution, but was little worse than UW solution in preventing cellular edema. Compared with UW, douching effect of SMO was better. SMO solution could be used in biliary tract douching.
